I had heard them say on Curb Your Enthusiasm that you couldn't get any good Chinese food in Los Angeles. I grew up in California and kind of always took offense to that but then I moved to NYC after I graduated from college a few years ago.
When I went apartment hunting I actually found a place that was above a Chinese restaurant and it made me think about that episode. After I got my apartment set up with a DIRECTTV internet combo deal I rewatched that episode and thought that maybe Larry David was right.
So I decided to give it a try after I invited some friends over to check out my place. Well, after doing that little bit of research and eating at a few other Chinese places in the city I do have to agree with him and say that the Chinese food in NYC is far superior to it in LA.
IÕ'e been stopping at that place a lot and I think they're starting to recognize me there. It's amazing how far some good food can go to improve your day
